A Bit About Us
"Nancy Atie, a mother of three, created The Breakthrough Method by teaching her children from only a few months old.
Through her own research, Nancy was fascinated by how children as young as six months old could recognise basic language sounds.

Children vary in their development of speech and language skills, but they follow a natural progression or timetable for mastering language skills through repetition. Nancy used these observations to teach her children beyond the national curriculum requirements.

As a university graduate, Nancy understood that her children learned and consumed information differently and invested time in understanding different teaching methods to cater to their individual needs.

It all started with Nancy's eldest child, who is currently studying law at the University of Kent. Nancy then moved on to teach her second child, who achieved outstanding results for her GCSEs and A-Levels (A*'s). Nancy's youngest child, who is six years old, is the latest beneficiary of The Breakthrough Method. He is above his academic level in both Maths and English.

Nancy's methods and techniques have attracted the attention of other parents who wanted support with their children's learning and frequently requested her teaching services. After COVID-19, Nancy noticed that children were left feeling lost and without learning opportunities, prompting her to help other parents by teaching The Breakthrough Method.

By using P.U.R.E.R, a memory-based technique, our teachers gain the ability to understand how young minds process information.

PATIENCE - Taking time to listen to the student is crucial to teaching them.
UNDERSTANDING - How young minds receive information and why they think the way they do.
RECTIFY - Introducing a new way of thinking by correcting errors.
EXPLAIN - Breaking down methods, by using tricks and patterns to memorise.
REPETITION - Reinforcing what is taught, this enables a child not to forget.
